2020 marks 10 years since the Equality Act. The Equality Act 2010 protects people from discrimination on the basis of ‘protected characteristics’.
There are nine ‘protected characteristics’ under the Equality Act:
Religion and belief
Marriage and civil partnership
Maternity and pregnancy
The Stuart Low Trust opposes any form of prejudice, oppression or injustice and recognises the negative lasting impact that it has on mental health and wellbeing. We want to keep equality on the agenda and promote diversity.
