Celebrating LGBT+ History Month

It’s LGBT+ history month, a great chance to come together as a community and celebrate with some exciting online events. There’s a wonderfully diverse programme put together by forum+ here, but SLT have pulled out a few of our favourites to share with you and help you celebrate in lockdown…

Launch of Camden & Islington LGBT+ History Month 2021 & Loudest Whispers Exhibition

Expect an evening of music and entertainment to launch LGBT+ History Month and Loudest Whispers 2021. You’ll hear all about the fantastic programme of activities and events showcasing our local LGBTQ+ community.

Zodiac Interactive Video Quiz

Enjoy testing your knowledge on camp comedy, pop star to film star, dance hits and more! Tickets for this camp extravaganza sell out early so register early to avoid disappointment. Early bird tickets priced at £3 and the remaining tickets are priced at £5, (per bubble and not per person), with all money raised going to LGBTQ+ charities. Age restriction: 18+

Incite Poetry LGBT+ History Month Special

Join Incite! online for a LGBT+ History Month Special! The monthly forum+ spoken word event is hosted by performance poet Hannah Chutzpah and features a very special guest performer and stellar open mic line up.

Islington Mind Outcome’s Online Open Day

Join the online open day to celebrate LGBTIQ+ history month, and to learn more about what mental health means within a LGBTIQ+ context. There will be a presentation about Outcome, what they are offering, how they have adapted in lockdown, and most importantly fantastic performances from Outcome service users and volunteers! Including, singing, poetry reading, dance – and more!

Join together online to discuss ‘And Then We Danced’ with forum+ and meet other LGBTQ people who love film and be part of a community at this fun, creative and sociable online group!
